Gable Roof Makeover for Bilgola

Our Cloud9 Roofing team recently completed a significant project in Bilgola Plateau involving a gable roof, focusing on essential repairs, modern guttering, and replacing old skylights, showcasing our commitment to quality craftsmanship.

The transformation began with a crucial upgrade to the home's drainage system. We meticulously removed existing gutters and then supplied and fitted brand-new Colorbond gutters and fittings to all areas of the house. This not only enhances the property's curb appeal but, more importantly, provides superior, long-lasting protection against water damage.

Next, we brought in the light! For the bedroom section, we expertly supplied and fitted a new Velux non-opening skylight, creating a brighter, more inviting space. Our work involves the precise installation of the Velux unit and seamless tiling around it, ensuring a perfect, watertight fit. Furthermore, we replaced a defective Velux unit with a new setup: a non-opening S06 and a dual-opening SK06 skylight, significantly improving natural ventilation and light control.

Beyond the gutters and skylights, the roof itself received vital attention. We supplied and fitted approximately 20 tiles to replace broken ones, using tiles from the under-pitched section that was later updated. For this problematic under-pitched flat roof section, we stripped existing roof tiles, then supplied and fitted 55mm insulation blanket and timber battens.

To ensure durability and a modern finish, we then supplied and fitted 0.48 Custom Orb (Colourbond) roof sheets and fittings, creating a robust and weather-resistant surface. A custom transition flashing was expertly installed between the pitched and tiled roof sections for a seamless seal.

Finally, all associated rubbish was removed from the site and recycled where possible.
